With it mounted, the only “in focus” zoom position is all the way back, or at the widest setting. It’s ideal for taking inside pictures and video, and taking in the entire area, close up. For instance from the back of my boat I can include, in one shot, all the occupants, and some of the surrounding scenery. The edges, and more distant shots, can have an inaccurate prismatic effect, which is compounded by installing it over any other lens protection, such as a Haze or Polarized add on. Sun hitting the front of the lens in this instance can create a much less than desirable effect.
