A while back I bought a Panasonic GF1 mainly for shooting video, and I had gotten myself a lens-adapter by Novoflex to use my Nikkor lenses with it. For shooting video this was amazing, so was it for photography, but I somehow always missed... So as I said before, for a long time I was looking for a camera that could help me out with this problem, also for times when you can’t or just don’t want to carry around a few kilograms of camera. For a very long time now I was looking for another camera than my D3 and later the D3s. I know the micro four-thirds sensors are great for their size, but having the D3s with its full-frame sensor got me really spoiled. I love my D3s, it just works in every situation that I can think of, I love the photos it puts out, the way it feels in my hands. Not even the high ISO was what I missed from my D3s, though it really is something amazing to have. so it took me some time to realize that the big sensor was what I was looking for. Besides the missing optical viewfinder I sometimes realized my biggest problem was the small sensor....

Occasionally we post a photo that was taken with a phone or an old camera but for the most part we use our Canon Digital SLR XSI or our water proof Olympus Stylus Tough. Some time ago Molly wrote a blog post about the various digital cameras we have owned and the two that we currently use. But then I began to notice the unforgivable flaw of this camera: it does not have very good I took this camera to Thailand. All of the features of the camera still work, but I suspect that a small amount of moisture got inside the housing and has somehow compromised the optics or sensor. At first I was very impressed that it was 50% cheaper than the Olympus and seems very comparable.
